Feil Family and Weill Family Residence Hall

The Feil Family and Weill Family Residence Hall, opening in August 2025, will be a high-rise residential building for medical and graduate students. Each apartment is fully furnished and has a full bathroom and kitchen. Building amenities include a fitness center, yoga studio, basketball court, study areas and lounges, music practice rooms, and a catering kitchen. Outdoor spaces include a ground-floor courtyard and rooftop terrace with BBQ grills.  The modern mail room is spacious and includes refrigerators to accommodate food deliveries. Additionally, the building is all electric and pursuing LEED Gold.

This residence is designed to provide a comfortable, healthy, and future-ready place to live, with sustainability and well-being integrated into every aspect of the building. It uses significantly less energy than a typical building—about 60% lower—through a high-performance envelope and efficient heating and cooling systems that adapt to changing conditions, while all-electric systems reduce reliance on fossil fuels and align with New York City’s long-term carbon limits. Water-saving fixtures reduce overall water use, and native landscaping supports local ecology and biodiversity.

Residents benefit from exceptional indoor air quality through enhanced ventilation and filtration, along with abundant natural light, quiet acoustics, and individual comfort controls—including operable windows and personal thermostats—that support sleep, focus, and overall wellness. Bike Racks: The Bike Room is accessible every day, Monday through Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Residents must complete this registration form to access a designated rack.
